Alternative sitting

6 September 2010 No Comment

I usually spend a several hours per days on my computers. Since I’m kanooing  I have no back problems, but still sitting hour by hour in a traditional office chair feels uncomfortable after a while. Recently Google just bypassed me an adverticement for a barstool called Stitz, which I decided to investigate a little deeper. The Stitz is produced by a german company called Wilkhahn and is an unusual height adjustable barstool and was develobed by Hans Roericht.

With Stitz Hans increases the movement freedom of its user by several axis.

I really love this gadget. You can adjust the height from around 65 cm up to 90 cm and thereby use it within several workig environments. The big advantage of the stitz is the heavy weight at the bottom, which garanties a fix stand even in wired sitting positions. Next to you can circle around your axis and move in any position.

A really good sideeffect is that my concentration encreases by extended chair movement. Thereby the Stitz is my first choice when retiering from the standard office chair environments.
